Home Central Java Pati
Pati Regency is a regency in Central Java Province, with its capital is Pati. This regency is boredered with Java Sea on the north, Rembang Regency on the east, Blora and Grobogan Regencies on the south, and Kudus and Jepara Regencies on the west.
Most of Pati Regency is a lowland. On the south area (on the border with Grobogan and Blora Regencies) there's a North Limestone Mountainous area. On the north west area (bordered with Kudus and Jepara Regencies) is a hill area. The biggest river is Juwana river.
Pati Regency's capital is in the middle of regency area, in a north coast lane inter province main road from Semarang to Surabaya, about 75 km eastern side of Semarang.
One of the historical site that became a tourist object in Pati Regency is an ex-entering gate Majapahit Kingdom. Some saying that this gate brought by Kebo Anabang for the instruction of Sunan Muria. Juwana is a harbour city where there's a brass craft. Other objects is Gunung Rowo Dam, located on the north.
On Margorejo there is a spring that big enough to use as a swimming pool. That place named Banyu Urip. Arround this area there's a cashew fruit plantation. On Mount Muria, Gembong area, there is a dam named Selo Romo. This dam has a small size, and in dry season, there would be shallow. Around the dam used to be a camping ground.
Pati's traditional foods are Nasi Gandhul, and Soto Kemiri.
Pati is also known as "Retired City", this is due to a lot of retired persons that spent their old lives in this city, while most of the youngster are working abroad.
Currently there are two big peanut factory companies running their business in Pati, those are Dua Kelinci and Garudafood.
