Majalengka is a city and one of 16 Regency (kabupaten) in West Java, Indonesia, lies in 108’-109’ West Longitude and 6’-7’ South Parallel.
The administration borders are Indramayu Regency on the North, Ciamis Regency on the South, Sumedang Regency on the West, and Kuningan Regency and Cirebon Regency on the East.
The distance from Majalengka to Bandung, the capital of West Java Province is 92 km, to Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia) is 300 km, and to Cirebon is 50 km.
As of 2006, this regency consists of the 23 districts (kecamatan), all of which make up a total of 13 urban villages (kelurahan) and 318 rural villages (desa).
