Geography Kuningan is a city and regency in eastern of West Java, Indonesia, between Cirebon and Tasikmalaya, about 200 km east of Jakarta, in the coordinate point 108°23 - 108°47 East Longitude , and 6°47 - 7°12 South Parallel.
The capital is located in the coordinate point 6°45 - 7°50 South Parallel and 105°20 - 108°40 East Longitude.
Located just eastside at the foot of Mount Ciremai, the highest mountain in West Java. Owning surface of land which relative level off with hilly variation especially region part of West and South with height range from 266-720 meter while at East and upstate situation of ground progressively level off with height between 120-222 meter, owning natural resources potency, human resource and environment becoming authorized capital to development of area.
Climate is influenced by tropical climate and monsoon with minimum average temperature 10° and maximum 30° C, and also average rainfall of 2.000 - 4.000 mm per year at region part of West and South especially mountainside area of Ciremai, while at East and upstate rainfall is between 1.000-3.000 mm per year.
Geographically, Kuningan City is located at the east part of West Java are the tracks of the regional road that connect the Cirebon city with the territory Priangan East and as the alternative road to the middle route that connects Bandung-Majalengka with Central Java.
Administratively shared a border with: Cirebon Regency on the North, Brebes Regency on the East, Ciamis Regency and Cilacap Regency on the South, Majalengka Regency on the West.
Kuningan Regency consists of 29 subdistricts, 13 districts and 357 villages.
