Singo Ulung Art Performance
Singo was the name of a person from Blambangan. Singo Ulung and his wife, Nyi Moena, and the other persons, like Ki Jasiman were helping and cooperating with each other to create a prosperous society. Because of his success, Singo was chosen by the society as the first chieftain of the village. He created an art, " Singo Ulung", which was played by two people. It resembles the true Singo (Lion) and is accompanied by the music of gamelan from Blimbing village. This art, together with Pojian Art and Ojung Art are always shown at the traditional ceremony, named "Bersih Desa Blimbing" which is always held during the month of Sya'ban/Ruwah. This art performance can also be watched and enjoyed during the annual "Hari Jadi Bondowoso" on the 16th of August.
